Experience

Mairi is an experienced and compassionate mental health professional, having worked in adult mental health in NHS services for over 12 years, as well as with specialist charitable organisations (including substance use and children and young people).

She specialises in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), including trauma-focused CBT, and person-centred therapy (PCT).  Mairi has additional training in solution focused brief therapy and schema informed therapy, and she has completed standard training in Eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR) therapy.  She invites clients to work with her in building a shared understanding of their difficulties.

Mairi has experience working alongside adults who identify with anxiety, panic, depression / low mood, stress, low self-esteem, the impact of trauma including PTSD, and more.

Mairi is currently on sabbatical, having decided to pursue her doctorate in counselling psychology.  She will join us again soon!

Laura Key

Experience

Laura has over 15 years of experience working within NHS mental health services with adults with a range of issues including: anxiety (phobias, generalised anxiety disorder, adjustment to parenthood, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), social anxiety, trauma/PTSD, panic, health anxiety); depression and low mood; low self-esteem; bereavement; relationship issues; life transitions; self-harm; eating disorders; and survivors of abuse and trauma.  

Laura specialises in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), interpersonal psychotherapy (IPT), cognitive behavioural analysis system of psychotherapy (CBASP), and cognitive therapy (CT) for PTSD.  She believes that building a safe, trusting and accepting, genuine relationship with clients is integral.

Laura designs individual treatment plans so that people can benefit from a tailored approach.

Sarah Tudor

Clinical Associate in Applied Psychology

Experience

Sarah has worked in mental health settings for 20 years and has been working within NHS adult mental health services since 2009.  Sarah specialises in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and uses Compassion focused (CFT) Cognitive Analytic (CAT) approaches in her work with clients.  Sarah offers evidence based psychological therapy for a range of difficulties including:

 

  • Anxiety including social and health anxiety

  • Adjustment to parenthood

  • Confidence difficulties

  • Panic attacks and panic disorder

  • Depression and low mood

  • Disordered eating and eating disorders, in particular Binge Eating Disorder

  • Low self esteem

  • Obsessive compulsive disorder

  • Phobias

  • Work and/or studying difficulties

  • Relationship difficulties
